19/06/2020 Wineries are reopening throughout Sonoma County like wildflowers after a spring rain. Here is a list of wineries that are now open.

After more than two months of coronavirus-prompted closures, wineries are reopening throughout Sonoma County like wildflowers after a spring rain. But things remain a little different in Wine Country — wineries must now employ a plethora of measures to keep visitors and employees safe.

This list of wineries that are now open. In all cases, reservations are required, parties will be seated 6 feet apart, and masks must be worn before and after meals.

1. Adobe Road Winery

Adobe Road is a Petaluma based boutique winery. The wines are handcrafted in small lots with minimal intervention, including fermentation with native yeasts.

Winery is open for tasting daily 12-8 pm. Location: Petaluma Waterfront

2. Alexander Valley Vineyards

Alexander Valley Vineyards is a third-generation, family-owned and operated winery in Northern Sonoma County, CA. Alexander Valley Vineyards is known for award-winning wines, historic property, and friendly tasting room.

Winery is open daily from 11 am-3 pm. Location: Healdsburg

3. Anaba Wines

Anaba Wines is a Family-owned winery featuring small lot Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Rhône varietals from their Carneros estate and select Sonoma vineyards.

Winery is open from Thursday -Sunday 11 am -4 pm.

4. Bacigalupi Vineyards

Bacigalupi Vineyards is the heritage of three generations of grape growing and wine-making in the Russian River Valley. For over 60 years the Bacigalupi family has sourced fruit to some of Sonoma and Napa’s most well-known brands, providing some of the chardonnay fruit to Chateau Montelena to win the coveted 1976 Paris tasting.

Appointments are available at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. daily, except Tuesdays and select holidays when the winery is closed to visitors.

5. Balletto Vineyards

Balletto Vineyards is committed to growing and producing distinct, high-quality wine from their estate vineyards located throughout Sonoma County’s famed Russian River Valley. They specialize in cool-climate Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and others.

Winery is open for tasting from Friday-Sunday at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm only.

6. Benovia Winery

Benovia Winery’s team is an extension of an extraordinary family; one that eats, drinks, and breathes a lifelong passion for wine. That passion is distinct in every bottle of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Zinfandel which is produced from the Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast, and Sonoma Mountain.

Winery is open for tasting every day 11 am -5 pm.

7. BR Cohn winery

BR Cohn is a  family-owned & operated winery since 1984, located in Sonoma Valley, producing ultra-premium wines, extra virgin olive oils, vinegars, and food products. Located in Sonoma Valley.

Winery is open from Thursday through Monday from 10 am to 5 pm.

8. Bricoleur Vineyards

Bricoleur French has a beautiful Russian River Valley estate with sustainable farming, fresh fruits and vegetables, fine wine, family enterprise, and supporting the community. They have deep roots in Sonoma County wine country, and every day, they unwaveringly work to maintain the health of the vines, animals, produce, and enhance their community.

Winery is open from Thursday through Monday from 10 am to 5 pm.

9. Bucher Wines

Bucher Farms, which includes 30+ acres of premium wine grapes, is located in the Middle Reach of the Russian River Valley near Healdsburg in Sonoma County, California farm has been in John Bucher’s family for over 55 years and is where he grew up.

Winery is open on Saturday-Sunday from 10:00 am to 4 pm. Location: Grand Cru Custom Crush

10. Buena Vista Winery

Buena Vista Winery is run by Boisset family who has long recognized the strong resemblance between the terroir of Burgundy and that of Sonoma County.In 2003 they welcomed DeLoach Vineyards into the portfolio and showed the world that the terroir of Sonoma County, combined with Boisset’s traditional Burgundian winemaking techniques, can create truly magical wines.

Winery is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm.

11. Cast Wines

Tucked into the forest in beautiful Dry Creek Valley, Cast Wines has been enchanting visitors for several amazing years. Wine just tastes better when you enjoy it straight from the source. Take in the breathtaking views while enjoying a tasting experience on the Grey Palm Patio amongst the vines and beautiful Canary Island Date Palm.

12. Château St. Jean

At the center of our Sonoma Valley estate, the Chateau and its surrounding gardens exude the beauty and grace that distinguish both the winery and its Sonoma County wines.

Winery is open for tasting from Friday-Monday 10 am-3 pm.

13. Christopher Creek Winery

With a long history of producing award-winning, handcrafted, and estate bottled wines; with an annual production of around 4,000 cases.  Christopher Creek is located in Healdsburg, CA on 11 rolling acres in the famous Russian River Valley AVA, with another 27 acres planted high on Bradford Mountain in Dry Creek AVA.

Winery is now open for outdoor tastings by appointment, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily (last tasting at 4:45 p.m.). Location: Healdsburg

14. Davis Family Vineyards

Open by appointment only Friday, Saturday and Sunday, noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

15. DeLoach Vineyards

As a pioneering producer and winegrower of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Zinfandel in Sonoma’s Russian River Valley, DeLoach Vineyards has been experimenting with and perfecting the best combinations of soil, rootstock and clones for over three decades.

Winery is open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Daily (Last seating is at 2:30 pm.)

16. The Donum Estate

The winery uses a unique perforated metal skin to combine the benefits of open-air fermentation with the protection of an enclosed space. Donum is recognized as one of California’s top pinot noir producers. Their quest to craft complete, beautiful, site-specific wines from the estate vineyards continues throughout each vintage.

18. Flowers Vineyards & Winery

19. Fort Ross Vineyard

Inspired by the majesty of the Sonoma Coast, Fort Ross farms the steep, rugged ridges of the family estate vineyard to craft profound cool climate wines. In January 2012, Fort Ross Vineyard became part of the new, rigorously defined Fort Ross-Seaview American Viticultural Area (AVA) which established the region as separate and distinct from all other wine growing regions in California.

20. Horse & Plow

Horse & Plow is a small, family-run winery based in Sebastopol, California. This special area, in the heart of the Russian River Valley, is ideal for producing high-quality fruit that, in turn, makes unique and delicious wine & cider.

Open for outdoor tastings every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between noon and 5 p.m.
