30/03/2020 The Sommeliers Choice Awards team wishes you good health and safety in these difficult times. This letter is to lift up our spirits and be optimistic about what the future holds.
Dear Reader,
We hope you're in good health, taking care of yourself, and optimistic about the future.
These are uncertain and very delicate times that we, as a community are facing. But we need to look ahead and figure out how we will get over this situation.
This is the time to strategize and plan for the future. Time to make decisions that will help us recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Keeping government regulations and the safety of all stakeholders in mind, the Sommeliers Choice Awards has decided to postpone the event to 12 August 2020, and are accepting entries in the ongoing special pricing offer till 22 April 2020. We will get through this together, and emerge stronger than before.

About Sommeliers Choice Awards

ommeliers Choice Awards is the ultimate wine competition which aims to provide on-premise buyers and sommeliers a valuable benchmark for understanding which wines would make a compelling addition to a wine list. An all-star judging panel consisting of leading sommeliers, on-premise wine buyers, wine directors at the U.S. restaurants, bars, pubs, and clubs gather in San Francisco to judge wines coming from across the globe. Wines are judged on the basis of: Food Parability, Typicity, Value, Quality, and Package. Medals are awarded to those wines that meet very specific judging criteria, with a goal of identifying wines that should become additions to restaurant wine lists. SCA is currently accepting entries
